Well done you 👍 I'm planning on doing my W2 R3 tomorrow if I can get up early enough to beat the sun.

I've been running listening to radio 2, not sure what that says about me but there you go x

Well done! Just completed W2R3 too.. listening to a mix of hiphop, dance and funky soul. 🎧

Amazing 😊 I've got this run in the morning 😩😩 I listen to my sister and myself huffing and puffing 😅😅

Varies depending on my mood! Quite liking podcasts at the moment. Something to distract from the actual running 😂

I’ve been going through old albums - ELO, levellers, thin lizzy, undertones ....

I use the Rock My Run app... Lots of choices of music, but key for me is that you can adjust the tempo of each song so that you can run in time with the music :-)

That sounds good! Must give it a try, thanks.

I'm at the same stage as you. Starting w3 on Sunday. I've made myself a running playlist...any from my library that has a good beat to run too.

Slow down if you are tired.. and just take it steadily... :) Well done:)

Congratulations!

Major milestone No. 2 reached.

As running near roads, I have not been using music, just the app. However, since it failed on me twice, I used the podcast last night with the prescribed music. Not my thing, but inoffensive.

I will need to sort out a playlist from my library for after graduation.

Well done! I am starting W3R1 today. I rarely need or have the chance to listen to music on my phone and don't have Spotify or anything, so I was a bit stumped at first, but I found Heart Radio generally has good, upbeat music, much of which I like. Music makes running SO much better!

When I tried running a few years ago (without this app), my earbuds used to fall out so I gave up and ran without - no wonder it was so hard!

My problem is I start to sing along (breathlessly)....

That made me giggle! I'm a choir leader so used to singing, but when I started singing along to my 80's mix last night on the treadmill, I was so breathless and out of tune that the cat walked out and my husband couldn't stop laughing at me!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The cat walked out! 😂 We have a cat, they are hilarious, they know what they like and aren't afraid to let you know too!

I love singing, always sang in a choir at school and recently in a workplace choir which was brilliant. Now self-employed and at the moment, hard to fit in a choir as well. How great that you are a choir leader, bet you love it.

Stupid question - how do you listen to your own music but still get the C25K instructions? I've been using the NHS podcast that has built in music and the instructions/timing guidance over the top. The music is OK but not the best....

You get the app ready, then open up another tab to put your music on, then go back to the app and press start. Having said that, the app keeps crashing on me so I am going to stick with the podcasts 😀

The app is so easy, have had no problems with it and having music on top, it's brilliant! Currently I am using Radioplayer app for music, I get Laura's voice over the top and the music level automatically dims as she speaks. Both apps seem to work fine together, no problems at all, amazingly.

Thanks! So I need rhe app rather than the podcasts. Will investigate, thank you!

One you couch to 5k app. You can pick your coach and have you playlist going, the app cuts into your playlist to tell where you are up to.

So far, I have not had any problems with it...

My current playlist (spot my age):

Girl from Mars - Ash

Ready to go - Republica (running starts during this)

Going Underground - The Jam

Live Forever - Oasis

Don’t stop me now - Queen

Supersonic - Oasis

Teenage Kicks - The Undertones

Another girl, another planet - The Only Ones

The boys are back in town - Thin Lizzy (which usually starts as I reach the sign board for my village on the way back home)

Bonus track if I forget and leave headphones on through post-run water and banana: Don’t look back in anger - Oasis

Fleetwood Mac - Tusk is fab for setting a gentle steady pace.

And Charlie Daniels Band- Devil Went Down to Georgia is a great motivational track for weary legs!
