About to run Wk2 R1 and feeling a little nervous!

So i'm currently sat in the observation deck at ny local swimming baths, watching my daughter have her swimming lesson. After her lesson, we have a bit of time to kill, then my son plays football at the same leisure centre. Its a long morning of their dad and I sitting/standing around watching, so I thought I might aswel take advantage of the beautiful park right on the doorstep (Sutton Park) and start my week 2.

Im not due to run again till tomorrow (sun, tue, thurs) but hubby and I are out with friends tonight (a rare night off!) so will be having a few drinks and I thought I would risk missing my run all together if i left it till tomorrow. So the plan is to run today then miss 2 days before doing run2 on tuesday.

To say i'm a little nervous about todays run is probably an understatement! I'm not sure i'm ready for the step up and I'll be running in unfamiliar (if beautiful!!) surroundings, but I have planned my route carefully and am ready to give it my best shot... wish me luck! Xx

This is the beauty of C25K. Pushing everybody just out of their comfort zone each week and proving to them that, yes they can do it!!!

Don’t over think each week, just get your running gear on, step out the door and go for it!!!!

Its finished and it felt amazing! My cousin who is a graduate surprised me and came to run with me! I pushed myself harder than usual and it felt so good. Plus the sun was shining and the surroundings were beautiful.

Buzzing!

The intervals felt fine too, were not as scary as i thought they would be and i even managed a couple of (big!!) hills. Had to walk a little more than i strictly should have after the biggest hill but tagged the little extra running on to the end before my warm down walk.

It felt really good xx
