W2R2 done, but a day of mixed emotions...

Did the run and really enjoy it today - was looking forward to the next one. Then, appointment at opticians- sent straight to hospital, to learn I have eye problem - posterior vitreous detachment - what a downer... need to avoid high impact activity to ensure I don’t end up with a detached retina. What a bummer, I’m really fed up...

Wow, that is a bummer. But your eyesight has to be a priority. You’ll have to find a low impact exercises to replace the running. Hope all goes well.

Oh dear, so sorry to hear that. Total bummer! Try not to let it get you down too much. Low impact exercise is great too! Hopefully you find something you love.

I hope that it is only a temporary situation, just shows you that it pays to get eye checkups regularly like I do as well, all the best for the future.

Be guided by your opthalemic surgeon.🤔

No impact exercise, or whatever exercise you are allowed,🤔

Do not do any movement that puts your head below your heart.🤔.

Take care.👏👏

Sorry to hear this Susojan. As others have said above, your eyes are definitely the priority. You'll have plenty of time to come back to running when this is sorted out. Good luck!

You must put your eyesight first. Hopefully in time your eye will heal and you can start the running again. Yoga is good low impact exercise to keep you strong and flexible. Best of luck to you. I had a small retinal tear a few years ago which they fixed by freezing it. Has been ok since then.

Really sorry to hear this. But yes, your eyesight is so much more important and there are plenty of other ways to keep fit even just basic walking. X fingers for you and see how it all goes. Take care xx
