Done it!

Finished run 3 of week 9! Can't believe I can actually run(ish) for 30 minutes without stopping.

The support on this forum is amazing and so helpful - it's good to know how normal you are: how tough it is to start; 3 minutes non-stop seems impossible; the exhileration of run 3 of week 5 and how the once yearned for walking intervals start to get in the way.

I'm well and truely hooked on running and whilst I'm still slow, I've already set my next goal: to actually run 5k in 30 minutes. So this definitely isn't an end - it's the start of a new phase!

Thanks! Already looking forward to the next one. Was there a warning that running is addictive? 😅

Thank you!

The time has gone by really quickly since first stumbling out of bed to have a go at run1 week1.

My husband said I should get fit before trying to go out running so I ignored that advice and just got up and started on a cold January morning - haven't stopped since! He's impressed with my achievement and I'm encouraging him to get out there now.

Well done to you too fellow graduate. Just seen that our badges are there already and got super excited!

I don't k ow about you but I knew I'd caught the running bug when I realised I'm talking about it all the time and by week 5 I was planning routes for when I'm in holiday in June!

Still haven't done a parkrun yet and a little nervous of that as I'm a solitary runner normally but I have my barcode ready and I'm planning to just go and see the set up first before taking the plunge.

Good luck for your future runs too!

Yep - the shiny new badges look great, don't they?!

I'm just like you - in danger of becoming a running bore, in my case! I am also a solitary runner and a bit nervous about the idea of doing a parkrun, though everyone says people are really friendly. I still have to achieve 5K, so I think I'll aim to do that first before trying a parkrun. Good luck with yours! 😀👍

I'm nearly at 5k but only if you include the warm up and cool down walks 😁

I don't mind that - once I twigged it's really Couch to 30mins I calmed down a bit and stopped worrying about pace - 5k is my goal but I know I can do it (eventually).

Thinking I will walk a parkrun on a rest day - its good to keep moving!

As you say, 5K will come eventually - something to aim for! Good luck! 👍
