Should I start week 2?

2 weeks ago I completed all 3 runs in week 1. Unfortunately on run 3 I pulled a back muscle and was out of action whilst I recovered.

I jumped back in yesterday after having a break of 11 days and ran week 1 again. I found it surprisingly easy, didn't even break a sweat and was pleasantly surprised how I hadn't lost the fitness over the 11 day break. I am due to jog again tomorrow. Should I jump in on week 2 or stick to the other 2 runs in week 1 first?

Thanks, Nic

Personally, I jump into week 2! I had a break while we had bad snow and ice, I picked up from where I left off, I just slowed my pace down a bit.

Good luck

Thanks Lisa, yeah I can always slow down a bit (if that's possible as I'm already slow!)

It sounds as if you will be fine moving onto W2.

Have you read the guide to the plan? healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Keep us posted.

Hi Iannoda, yes I have read it a couple of times. Very useful and I will keep going back to it so thank you!

I did week 2 as you advised. It was fine. Rather enjoyed it after about halfway! Feeling good!

Thanks to LisaLou and Iannoda!
