This isn't running related and I apologise for leaving it so late to post, but a few have asked about our puppy and to pop a piccy on. Well, to your surprise and mine to be honest, as I go a bit mad sometimes with my decisions, but we now have 2 puppies. 🤣
Our first one was Finley on Dec 23, a black lab, now 15 weeks, then we had a little yorkie (miss my lil Ozzy), nearly 2 weeks ago, now 12 weeks called Alfie. He's a tiny little thing, but they're both still getting to know each other and we have to supervise them each time they're together, as Finley can be a bit paw heavy, lol.
But I thought it would be good to have two and young aswell. They keep me busy and on my toes, lol and hopefully, when Finley is a little older, he can come jogging with me, lol.

Your little Yorkie may be good at running too. Don’t underestimate him. I have seen small dogs at Parkrun. It is just what you do with them I think.
A couple of centuries ago, we had a small poodle and I used to take him walking and hiking in the bush and he could go for ever. We are big dogs people so just treat any lap dogs the same way as our German shepherd.
Too true - we had a little king Charles on Saturday at Parkrun and it was dragging its owner round - finished in around 27 minutes and promptly got in the car and went to sleep. I on the other hand have a lazy fat springer who thinks that running shorts are only there so he can lick peoples legs - he flatly refuses to run with us!

Absolutely Adorable! We have two labradors,uncle and niece,uncle being the oldest. They are 3 and 7 this year. Both born in June. She was paw heavy too when she joined the family,but now they just love each other so much. Good to see!
Ah, thanks Maggie. Yes finley is very paw heavy, but I have to remember he's a pup too it's because he is so big, I think he's older. Love the names of your two, bless their little bums xc
Oh eck that's some commitment there! I only walk my neighbour's one but it's practically a full-time job. He wants to be out all the while! I was out there at 5.30 am this morning in the rain. He is a bit off it though as he's hurt his paw but he needs to go out still so it's more little walks.
They are lovely but you have to give them so much time. If they can run with you that will be ace as you will kill two birds with one stone. It takes a while before they can run as like us they have to start small. Each breeds has its own growing time. The heavier the breed, the longer it takes. Little terrier breeds have small hearts and can only do fast for short bursts
It's all good fun though, and there'll never be a dull moment. plenty of grooming and cleaning of muddy paws. It never ends.
Thanks lovely. Yes, it's huge commitment but I thought long and hard and gave always had dogs, but not a big one like Finley, lol. Happy moment and memories to come though 😊 x
Ahh, thanks Rob, they're growing fast too. The yorkie, Alfie was weighed yesterday. 6.5kg and not quite 10 months. My beloved Ozzy who died last Dec at 15 years old, was only just 6kg. He's a funny little dog though, lol 😁🤣
