Morning, today I'm heading out for run 2 on week 3. Run 1 week 3 i really enjoyed, and managed to get my breathing in a good rhythm early on. I avtualky found week 2 harder, so I'm wondering if this is usual or am i going too slow on the 3 minute runs as it seems I'm burning more calories last week too 🤔 I'm also feeling a bit fed up that my weight has gone up a couple of lbs since starting this. I've been healthy eating for a year now so it's not that I'm eating more. I know its not a lot but after losing over 5 and a half stone numbers are still important to me! Please say this is short term?
Have a good week all

Hi, I know there are people here more versed in the weight loss world so I'll just say you're doing great with the running and getting fitter regardless of the numbers!
My own thoughts are that I can gain and lose a whole kilo at least just from different water retention throughout the month (towards my period I gain, after I lose) so I wouldn't read anything into gaining a pound or two over three weeks. But of course having been on the weight loss journey (well done so far!) you know your own numbers.
With the running, there's no such thing as too slow. You still have to run the required number of minutes, yes? Speed can come later. Most of your running should be at an easy pace. There's a faq on it in the list in the pinned posts. You will be getting fitter regardless, and building your legs *safely* if you run at an easy pace
