Week 1 first run in the bag

Hi I am a 61 year old unfit and overweight male but have been walking a mile a day with my grandson for a few months. I saw the advert for a new park run group and decided it was time to start running again. The whole family joined in as part of a new group of about 23 people who met for the first time today. Enjoyed the run and did better than I thought I would do though half way through began to feel it but being with the others kept me going. Looking forward to next one but am aching a little now.
