Week 7 day 1 More like skating

Good morning and I hope you have had a great Christmas. It was blowing a gale yesterday with torrential rain so thought it prudent not to run so arose early this morning to run. Full of enthusiasm my little dog and I set off accompanied by billions of stars. I passed a stationary car wondering why they had stopped in the middle of the village but turning the next corner soon revealed the puzzle. A skating rink had appeared over what is normally the main throughway. I skidded and slipped as far as I dared go but after 5 minutes my thumbs had lost all feeling so we returned home to finish our run around the house. Not ideal but it was done. Be careful out on the roads today and happy running

I plan to run today but after taking my dog out first I've decided to wait for a couple of hours until it warms (slightly). Well done for running round the house 👏😉

It is very nippy, Carolyn. I've got my dissertation to continue with so wanted to complete my run early.

Well done for trying. After looking at the forecast yesterday, I decided to leave mine til about 11ish today 😊

Yes, good idea, Ted. I prefer to run in the morning so I can work undisturbed for the rest of the day. Take care running later

Not too bad on the coast this morning, once I worked out that everything that looked like wet tarmac was black ice. It was nice to see the sunrise though.

It's the best time. Just need to convince the rest of my house that getting up anytime before mid day would be helpful.

I turned out yesters and it was ok but a tad blowy

I really wanted to do my week 7 run 1 this morning before work but it was very icy and by the time the pavements looked okay it was time for work! Disappointed!! But glad you got out there and got your run done!

It's really disappointing, isn't it, when you want to run but can't. I hope you managed to get out at some stage. I've just come back from my latest run, all uphill into a head wind. Better than ice though
