This Running Thing Changes Lots of Things (in a good way)

I still consider myself a beginner. As a result of this programme though I am feeling stronger, have more energy, and am a bit lighter.

Since completing this programme, I have been for enjoyable runs in the countryside with two of my sons ( there are two more and they are being targeted). My wife has decided that there must be something to it and has just completed week 1 of the programme.

Today I did 5k in the company of my son. He was very surprised and I think also proud when I announced " I think we might see your mum in a minute". There she was powering towards us with a great big grin on her face! Priceless.

So the amazing thing to me in all of this is that 6 months ago I would not have considered it. With the measured programme and all you positive people ( especially mentors) we have made a start.

Thankyou all and Best Wishes for 2018.

If I can do it then...... SO CAN YOU!

That's glorious.

As for the other two, they may have to rebel and do something different (my son who flatly refuses to run has taken up road cycling and is back to his true svelte self)

What a wonderful feeling to run with your family 😄 I can’t wait for the day when I surprise my daughters by turning up for a Park Run with them, and changing from a spectator into a participant!

You definitely have to shock them! How about quietly getting on with your training and then turning up at a parkrun as if to help and then... "What are you doing mum?" Would be brilliant!
