Wk9r3 in the bag. It's only taken me 2 years :o

I got to wk9 in dec 2015 having started the program after stoptoper of the same year. xmas got in the way and then the birth of a child and only managed to return to it recently. Glad to say I'm still not a smoker, and now I am a fledgeling runner who has gone from saying "I hate running, but I'll do it" to having a grudging respect for the activity lol.

Looking forward to improving my speed and building up to the 5k in the coming weeks, and ensuring xmas doesn't get in the way this year.

Well done and keep going, just checking my training schedule and I've got a run on Christmas day, bugger!

It's a gym day for me, but as that will be shut I'm gonna try and do a nice early one to offset the calorie load just a tiny bit :)

You'll love that Christmas day run. Nice chance to blow away the cobwebs, and all the lovely Christmas food will seem even tastier.

I've decided to run on 24 and 26, as I have long journeys on 23 and 27, so that way I won't skip a beat :)

Congratulations. It does sound like you have had a lot going on!

I read somewhere some time ago that it takes 12 weeks of doing something repetitively for it to become a habit, so if you can manage a few more weeks you'll form a very good habit. 😊

I found that I stumbled about without direction after completing the plan, so why not see about downloading the NHS C25k+ podcasts, or joining a parkrun if you haven't already.

Well done xx

Thanks kickibro, yeah that is my plan.. next 3 weeks just repeat the 30 mins 3 times a week with maybe just a change in route. Also going to try a parkrun and I have the c25k+ podcasts queued up ready to go once I have consolidated a bit.

Congratulations! I think that making a new person counts as a pretty good reason to take time out... But you made it! Well done.
