Run Every Day January for Mind

I have recently completed C25K and been doing the C25k+ podcasts. Last week I extended the runs to 5k for the first time. I am thinking of doing my first park run next week.

I saw and signed up for the Run Every day in January. How would you I about doing this whilst avoiding injury? I’m under the impression the rest day is important. I was wondering about doing my usual around 5k every other day and running a mile on the days in between. Has anyone done this kind of challenge before? What routine did you come up with? Any recommendations gratefully received.

Just realised I am in Amsterdam for three nights in January too 🙄

If I read the RED thing right, you can walk as well as run, so there's no reason why you couldn't be sensible and run / walk like some sort of bizarre month-long Jeff Galloway tribute. :D

Jeff Galloway is the guy who's supposedly the run-walk method guru. The same method employed by C25K (run a bit, walk a bit ...)

I think I can answer this and I dont want to put dampness on your plans but Ill tell you about my experience: I started running in 2013 and after 2 years dabbled with running daily. Its hard.... I am now 4 years in as a runner and I have run daily for the last 323 days! Long story but it suits me. There is no way that just after graduating I could have done this. Could you aim for 10,000 steps a day and do 3 to 4 runs a week? If you do really want to do this perhaps aim for 1 to 2 miles a day to keep you injury free?
