W7R3 Check!

Urgh! That was gruelling! My alarm went off at 5.20am, and I lay in my lovely warm bed, my husband all snuggled up into me. Outside I could hear rain lashing against the window and the wind howling. It would have been so easy to have closed my eyes and gone back to sleep. I almost did. I had an internal battle, and finally dragged myself out at 5.35. If I don’t do it first thing then it doesn’t get done. Now I wish I could say I went out and loved it and have come back feeling refreshed and a new woman. I was soooo tired throughout. I seemed to be the only person alive (or stupid enough to be out in that weather). But it’s done! I do feel pleased with myself. How many of you lovely people were running out there with me at the same time? Now wk8 to tackle! 😫

👏 well done on getting out there 👏 I’m so not a morning person in the cold weather the bed wins every time 😬 different in the summer I’m up n out with a the birds ..... rest up and good luck on your next run x

Well done. I’m the same as you - it has to be done first thing in the morning.

Not quite as early at you though (and at the gym not outside) but I was up and out by 6.15am.

Good luck with Wk 8 x

Getting out of bed is the tough thing! So you still get the rousing applause!

Go you!

My husband used to say to me...( from the warmth of the bed):) " It is only rain.. go on, get out there, you'll enjoy it!" and " Once you're wet, you're wet"!!!!

Brilliant... very, very well done! Onward an upward to that podium :)

Wise, but seriously annoying words from your husband! 😂😂. I often get back from my run, have a shower etc, and my husband will then get up and say, “weren’t you supposed to run today?”

He’s been unaware that I’ve even left the bed! I clearly need to kick him before I get out! 😂😂

I cannot tell you what I used to reply...but, he was right.. and I have kept the habit up... nothing except injury or ice keeps me in!

The mornings just before Christmas were truly magical :)

Well done, I have rest day but also no work today. So far I've only run in rain once but I'm not sure if I would have been as committed as you.

Very impressed, respect to you 👍 only 6 more runs to the podium 👏

I have the caveat that I wear hearing aids and can't run in the rain as it'd get them wet and then I'd have muffled hearing for the rest of the day.

But I also have the overriding reason that I'm so not a morning person, and so not a Monday morning person. So well done you - I'm very impressed! I had to drag myself out of bed at 7:30am - and only because the school run had to be done!
