Ready to go for a run this weekend after 2 weeks off

I have had a couple of weeks off after coming down with a bung knee last week. I've been itching to get out for a good run, but have taken advice and let it have a decent rest. Have gone for a couple of decent walks but ended up coming home lame so this week I've gone for lots of legs up therapy.

I'm feeling a bit apprehensive, though. I'm going to strap it for good measure, just in case, but I'm putting all my positive energy towards it being fine.

Wish me luck!

Oh dear! This happens unfortunately but the good thing is that as you keep running your knees get stronger

You could lay off running to allow it to heal properly. I’d give it a week at least and then attempt a little run out. It might be ok or it might take longer. If the problem persists seek help 🙂

I've been off it for over a week, it feels good now, and I don't want to over do it. Going to try something like week four run one today and see how it goes

Good luck, take it really slowly and try to land lightly. And goes without saying, if it hurts, stop running! x

Slow and steady and just run ..if it is healed.. if you need to strap it, maybe take a bit longer off ?
