Only able to run 2 days

Hi guys, i completed the programme 2 weeks ago. My work Patten has now changed and due to this I'm only able to run 2 days a week. Will this effect my fitness in anyway or make these 2 runs harder? I'll be running on a Wednesday and a Sunday.

I'm no expert, but I don't think it should affect your fitness too much, and running twice a week is better than not running at all. You can only do what you can do. I'm actually going to be facing this same issue when I graduate, as to fit 3 runs in I have to do one before work, and as I start at 8, and work an hour away, I just end up really tired, so I've decided that I'm going to do 2 runs for a bit and see how it goes. I would love to know the answer though :)

I have trainined for both my half marathons on 2 run days a week. So don't worry about that. You are off that couch and I am sure you will be fine.

Thanx for that. I'm pleased to hear this 👍👍

I run twice a week, sometimes three times if I get to parkrun on Saturday. I have trained up to 10 miles on twice a week plans so don't worry. Just keep getting out there!

I used to run 3 days a week whilst doing the programme , but then I went down to 2 runs a week due to suffering over use injuries . I have trained for 3 half marathons running twice a week and its been fine , so I wouldnt worry .

Happy Running ! :-) xxx

Hi , I think as you have just graduated recently, I would consolidate for 3 - 4 weeks and give your body time to adjust to running for 30 minutes each time. You could use a different route maybe just to mix it up a bit :-) xxx
