All done and graduated after a nice steady run .

Maybe consolidate your 30 min runs for a couple of weeks to build those legs before 10k.

Congratulations.A brilliant feeling.

Don't want to be a party pooper But before heading for 10k take a few weeks to just run and build up your running body. Unless you are already fit your body will need to catch up with your expectations. If you need structure how about doing the later podcasts again or run week 1 with no walking just different speeds and how about the c25k+ podcasts or building your own playlists - or even, like I mainly do just run with no added distractions to your surroundings?

10k is a great distance to run, my favourite, take the same steady approach to achieve it and you will - hopefully avoid the IC.bvery best wishes for your future runs.

๐Ÿ˜ณAPOLOGIES. Something made me re-read your post and I've realised I misread it - I didn't see the "eventually" and thought you were about to embark on 10k now. I'll get me coat and toddle off to Specsavers.....

quick run hopefully. Do not fear this run there is a reason for it being as it is slow and steady...

Well thatโ€™s week 2 done

do my intended run yesterday due to very sore muscles but Iโ€™ve done it now! Thank you to everyone...

Set off this morning, all ready to put the deflation of Saturdays park run behind me...stopped at 6...

And thatโ€™s week 8 complete

telling you all that at this point my body and legs are loving it, I feel motivated every time I...

though it had to take far longer, but I kept going steadily, reminding myself to keep steady......
