You've come this far and its just a little further. I had no idea what the run was beforehand. I just started the podcast and bam there it was. I just listened to Laura. This run is mind over matter. Take your time, steady as she goes, enjoy the scenery and music. You will get into your stride in no time at all :-)

Ok thanks I’ll try and do that.

Going for this tomorrow - I was trying to keep it a surprise until my husband told me what was involved! I'm sure I can get through it - and I'm sure you can too :D :D

I agree it sounds like a huge leap - I felt the same way - but you just did 16 minutes (with a little break) it’s not as bad as you think. Trust the programme and keep it slow - the step ups are well planned and do work.

Thanks. I know I should trust the programme..it’s worked so far!

Just another run.. despite some posts that make it into a real dragon. Take it slow and steady ... as you have with all the other runs.. you are ready for each and every one:)

So many before you (including myself) have felt the same when they have got to this run but we got through it.

Every run you have done so far has been strengthening your running legs ready to do this run, just remember to take it slow and steady and you'll be fine

It definitely sounds like it’s a mental battle rather than a physical one.

you really can do it, you've put the work in so far to get you there

You CAN get through it if you have got this far, and the feeling when you do is so fantastic that it's worth pushing through those 20 minutes (honestly, I keep telling people about me crying with joy in the park when I did it and it turns out I'm not the only one!) And actually they fly by, just don't go too fast and enjoy it!

I’m sure I’ll cry too if I complete it...or should I say when I complete it!!

Choose 8 songs that you really really like.

Bum shuffling in the kitchen, head bopping in the shower sort of songs.

Then nice and slow and steady and then slow it down a bit and by the time the 8 songs are done you would have done your run.

Just start of slowly and keep a steady pace.

Looking forward to reading your ‘I just ran for 20 minutes!!’ post.

You just did 21 minutes of running and brisk walking....the next one is 20 minutes.

Do a search of the site and you will find all the posts like yours and all the ones of disbelievers who amazed themselves and did it.

Believe in yourself.

Noooo, don’t listen to those pesky gremlins...you can do it...yes, it seems like a massive jump, but it’s more a mental challenge than physical..honestly...if you’ve completed all the runs then you are definitely physically prepared so get your head in the right place, get some good music in your ears...shoulders back..& go nail it..you CAN do it...we all know you can 💪🏻

I have been sneakily looking ahead to this (I’m in week 4) what I don’t understand is why you run for 20mins non stop and then the run after in week 6 goes back to 8 mins and 5 mins and breaks in between again? Seems odd?

Anyway I am sure you will do it, and I am sure I will be saying exactly the same the week after next!

Good luck, enjoy the feeling afterwards!
