Week 6 run 2 and still going - Keep going. The plan works.

I am so not a morning person but a morning run is far easier than after work. This morning I was up and moving on the second alarm and stepped out in the dark and drizzle. It was a pretty good run. I much prefer the longer running stretches as I can get into my stride. (shuffle, stagger). My legs really do not move that fast. I had a long legged blond blast passed me on her run. It did not phase or discourage me. We all run in different ways and different speeds. I'm slow and steady and I'm running.

What's the best way to cope with legs that really don't want to move that fast? I find that my breathing is ok and I'm not out of breathe but my legs are tired. It could just be the extra weight holding me back (more than likely). I guess over time that will change.

well done, and if the legs feel tired, slow up. Good attitude to. I hope the leggy blonde was the friendly type and said hello?

Leggy blonde was gone before I knew it, so if she did say hello I missed it as she sped passed :-). She came from somewhere behind me and powered up the gradient up the bridge and poof no where to be seen. In my defence I was listening to the music and enjoying the surroundings in the early morning gloom.

Legs need exercises.. your rest day exercise regime should be hotting up now, as the runs get longer.. stamina and strength are essential. !

Keep it slow and keep it steady and well done:)

That’s the spirit LexMis ...you’re out there running your own way at your own pace & so was she...if your legs feel tired just like ju-ju- says...slow down a bit, sometimes legs do feel a bit heavy...no explanation for it though 🤔

Thank you everyone for you support and suggestions. I really hadn't thought about what to do on my rest days apart from rest and thank God I was still able to walk and run.

Ok so the next thing is leg strengthening exercises. Fab tip. Thank you :-)
