Hands up- been lurking...

Been watching all you lovely people running around reading your posts. I ve been back doing the programme a couple of weeks and just finished week 3. It’s slow, very slow but good. I did the whole programme last year and loved it but I m not an easy or natural runner and stopped over the winter, why is it so easy to stop and so hard to start when already I can feel my joints are looser, my lungs are clearer and my brain is so much calmer and yet it’s still so hard to make that choice of going. I guess some is embarrassment, look at her put all that weight back on who does she think she’s kidding some is the fear of failure, a friend said you did nt day you were running again, secretly I don’t say as I don’t know how long I will be motivated to do it. But this week I ve done it 3 slow runs in the bank and today I feel better for it.

I knew you would still be running around! It’s good to be back and a few hours after my run today I m sat thinking wow I want to do that again- not that I will in a couple of days though! I m going to treat every run as a bonus and not get mad if I use the treadmill instead of outside due to my rubbish circulation in the winter. Every run is one more than none!

You use what you need and do what you can:)

I used my trainer when it was icy last year, and after I fell and broke my ribs.. ( see how much excitement you have missed ) and I am a Grammy now too! With a small runner in training :)

As our Laura and you say,, every run is a good run:) xxx

Well done for getting back into it! I've never felt such a sense of achievement as I did on completing it once, twice would be something I bet!

Remember that voice in your head will be the encouraging Oldfloss and not your gremlins! Good luck!
