Wowwwww what a feeling ...... beautiful morning for our graduation run . Actually can't believe we did it ... my gorgeous husband and I set off on a known 5k route .... Mr Smooth and his encouraging tones kept us going ... 5 mins and 10 mins came and went ... past the parkland , past the church and onto a beautiful fen road with stunning scenery , birds and sheep to keep us company ... 15 mins and still feeling good ... pace slow but steady ( great advice Oldfloss ) ..... not saying easy but then the 1 min to go from Mr S ...... couldn't believe we were about to complete this awesome program ....... well as we were feeling ok we decided to keep running until reached the 5k mark to see if we could do it ........ WELL we did - what a feeling 40 mins to run 5k .... not sure how long until we will get 5k in 30 mins but that's the next challenge for us ... as hubby was a tiny bit in front of me at the end he stood with arms open as I reached the finish and the biggest bear hug as a reward .
Thanks for everyone's support .. this running family and this program are incredible ... and Mr Smooth - well it's been a pleasure and I will keep tuning in to you for a while . Special Thankyou to the huge support from some individuals on here ... you know who you are ... also the mentors and fellow runners who ha e commented along this emotional journey

You will do it ... I was so unfit with no exercise for 3 1/2 years ... first week horrendous an never thought would achieve this ... trust this program keep checking in on here as the support is incredible ... feel like I have so many new friends .. believe it you will get there 🎉

Thanks yes .. mr WBF was one run behind me so I did an extra 9/2 on Friday which didn't go well as new run and lots of challenges ... so pleased it didn't put me off today . 🥂🥂🥂

Aaaawwwwww Thankyou darling ---- the virtual bear hug back at you . Sure we will continue on together on our improvement journey ... going to rpt wk 9 a few times but keep going to the 5 k to see if times get better and it feels slightly easier .

Congratulations! I finished mine today so know how you feel.
I pushed through to 5km as well this week and 30min is now the goal as you say. I was also about the same (42m45s) so it’s a great target to now have.
Feet up tonight and back on it next week. Like you I will also be using MJ’s soothing tones for a few weeks until I am comfortable ‘just heading out there’.

You did all that work, now get to enjoy the podium view and put your sunglasses on to protect your eyes from the glint of a graduation medal next to your name

We found out half way through the program we are going to become grandparents for the first time next April ..... we were already in the zone but wow what a reason we have now to keep moving forward with this journey .
Amazing news I’m so looking forward to that chapter...gonna be a few years yet mind, my daughter gets married next year so hopefully within the next 4!! Enjoy your celebrations 😊😊
