W9R2 hardest ever! But I did it!!!

Well, that was tough! I did W9R1 a couple of weeks ago and it was of course a challenge, but it was actually ok (can't believe I can actually say that running for 30 minutes was ok - I remember when I started that 30 seconds felt like forever!!). But then I had 2 weeks off - my husband was away for a week and I am not ready for running with a double pram, and then we went on holidays (my running gear got to come on a nice 1400km/900mile roundtrip without ever leaving the bag). The kids had a rough night last night and the LAST thing I felt like doing at 6:30 this morning was going out for a run, but I put my big girl pants on and got out there and... it was horrible!! It was the first run that I really felt every step, that I had to talk (out loud) to myself to tell myself to keep going, and I could have stopped at any time. But I didn't. I just couldn't bring myself to use this as a practice run, so I kept going, one foot after the other, for 30 whole loooooooooong minutes. When I finished I was red in the face and out of breath and thoroughly knackered. But guess what? I did it!! I proved to myself (again) that my body is stronger than my mind would like me to believe. And to top it all off, I ran the fastest and furthest I have ever run!!! I was shocked, and so very proud of myself.

So the moral of the story is - you CAN do it!!

One run to go :)

Slow and steady now...right up to that podium!

Thanks! Honestly, if you had told me even a couple of weeks ago that I would be able to run for 30 minutes without stopping, I would have thought you were crazy! Trust in the program and it will get you there :)
