First Park Run and nearly managed Week9 Run 2

My end time was 47 minutes and 27 seconds.

My nearest parkrun is Alice Holt forest, which is two short loops including an uphill then a final longer loop also with another uphill. I walked the first 5 minutes for my warm up then slowly started running.

I enjoyed the scenery, and the different route but I my cold made a comeback mid run it seems, but I kept going and completed the first loop, I had been running for 13 minutes, I can do this and I had done the hill once.

Second loop and back to the hill and this time I just couldn't get my breath sorted so ended up walking a minute. Once at the top of the hill though, I started running, and managed to do 35 minutes in total before going back to a walk for my cool down.

At least I can improve and build :) and definitely need to get rid of this cold.

Sounds like you did a brilliant job - especially with a cold! I have to blow my nose a lot on any run (nice!) and that nearly has me keeling over, the extra puff tips me over the edge! But with hills and everything, you should be really proud of yourself :)

Sadly next week I am going to the filming of An Extra Slice in London. We need to be at the studio for 1pm so time is too tight.

But I am hoping to get back week after. I don't want to be defeated 😊
