First trip to running club

....it was wonderful. I tried a running club once before when I was on W9. They said it was a beginner's group. They said I would be fine. I was not. It was not a beginner's group. I was left feeling like absolute rubbish.

However, a friend convinced me to try her running club - the very same friend who introduced me to C25K in the first place. I went out with their beginner's group last night. It was everything that my last foray was not. It was brilliant. Some regular running combined with some speed and stamina work as well as some work on form. A great coach, an amazingly supportive and encouraging group of people. It was within my ability but still challenging enough that you feel good about taking part. I am so happy!

Ooh - I'm going to my first meeting of my local club's beginners group this evening. I hope they're more like your second attempt!

Hi Rebecca, I am hoping to join a beginner's running club, could I ask where your club is?
