W5 r3... I did it

Well!!! I was crap*ing my pants about doing this, even after run 2 and managing that quite nicely, it's such a big jump isn't it!!

Anyway - I thought let's just go for it, and by God I did it!! I never thought when I started this journey I would be able to run for 20 minutes non stop, but this plan is very good at building up stamina!! So chuffed 😁😁

I had the same feeling, usually I'm not very good at believing other people , but everyone on here is right. Take it slowly and other runs will come..

Well done

Haha! Love the terminology! I think we all felt that way - it's a toughy no doubt about it, but it's all plain sailing from now on! Ok that might be a little bit of a lie! But it won't be anything you can't handle now, having cracked the biggie. Well done, onward and upward from here, the end is in sight. But really it's just the beginning :)

I know, it's crazy - the relief at completing that run was amazing and the recovery wasn't too long. To think at the end of May I was hooked up to chemo, and the beginning of July I finished radiotherapy- now I'm doing this, someone who has disliked running any distance further than 100m since school... this plan has helped me get this far (along with the music, can't forget the music!!)!! x

Now it's my turn to swear - bl**dy hell! Awesome. Just amazing. This forum is fab, connecting us all together, hearing each other's stories. You are a total inspiration, please keep posting. Looking forward to hearing your journey and congratulating you when you graduate. Good luck.

My sister-in-law did this plan after cancer treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, and radiotherapy) -- breast cancer discovered when she was 20 weeks pregnant, surgery while still pregnant, followed by cesarean a few weeks later and immediately on to the chemo and radiotherapy. She said if she survived that she could do anything! And I felt by god if she can do it so can I!

You don't know it, but you're inspiring others I'm sure! Great job!

Bless her. Same as me but without the pregnancy... as she says, get through that u get through anything. My mantra when it gets tough running is "I got through chemo, I can get through this"

Had a riding lesson last night too, I managed to keep that up during treatment, so I feel like my stamina is improving each time πŸ‘Œ X

She's still cancer free, and the baby is now a happy three year old.

Very well done Sparkydee...you ought to be very proud of yourself...it is amazing this programme & we are constantly surprising ourselves...that run, in my opinion, is one of the hardest, mentally, but you nailed it...good for you!!!

Looking back its when you complete this run that you can see everything learned in the first 5 weeks coming together.

The running,πŸƒ the stamina, πŸ‹the breathing,😀 the positioning, πŸ•΄the techniqueπŸ‚ and the mental focus πŸ€”.

From now on you take all that & build on it a little bit more at a time.

Brilliant isn't it!!😎
