Week 6 run1 I could have stayed in bed...

I could have stayed in bed this morning. The rain was battering against the window and It's my last full day off before lecturing begins next week. I had loads of admin and emails to get on with and I could have done them in my pjs snuggled under the snowy folds of the duvet. There was no-one to make me go out, no-one to disappoint, no-one checking up on me. I could have stayed in bed. But I didn't. I hauled myself into my running gear and set out the door.

I've gone back to Michael. Sorry Laura your music isn't cutting it with me anymore and I need some better tunes. It was nice to be back and he wasn't at all miffed I'd strayed.

The first 5 was tough as usual but the second run eight was charmed by the flash of a kingfisher flying ahead of me down the canal like some turquoise will of the wisp. I followed him and before long Michael was telling me to slow down. The last 5 was no problem and I ran on a bit until the end of my track. It wasn't my best run to be honest. But it's done and I have even resisted the temptation to get back under the duvet!

Well done. After the long run of W5R3 most people find this run tough.

I run early on Sunday mornings. Get back have a shower and jump back into bed. Its great, guilt free duvet time, knowing I have just run 5k.

That's true! It was magical!

Yes I think I am getting a teeny bit addicted. Who would have thought it!

As a confirmed smoothie I couldn't imagine running with anyone else. He gets me out and running when no one else can, so I understand the appeal, although Laura has her fans too.

I did some duvet diving this morning when Mr Smooth's date invitation disturbed my slumbers... just thinking life would be perfect if only he'd tuck me in at night! Aaahhhh.

Out of dreamland into reality, blooming well done for overcoming duvet deliciousness and running. A great thing to do and a good achievement, doesn't matter it wasn't your best it was a run and they all count

Thanks Jan I agree me and Mr Smooth are an item again especially now I'm moving to the longer runs. I'm glad I went out. I was no gazelle but hey I wasn't even moving before!

Oh I'm with you on the Laura front. I did the plan a couple of years ago with Laura and her music was soooooo awful! I am so pleased to have Michael with me this time and my playlist of all the music I love to listen to.

I did week 6 run 1 today too, no rain here this morning (it's arrived now!) looking forward to run 2 on Saturday.

Yes felt bad as she is lovely but there's nothing like Mr Smooth and Queens of the Stone Age!
