All day I've had W6 R3 on my mind. Got to do this. Don't put it off. Horrible long day at work meant it would be dark when I got home & as yet I've not organised myself some hi-vis gear so off to the gym and the less exciting treadmill beckoned. On with Mr Smooth, into a rhythm, 10 mins into running and I'm feeling in control, positively thinking I can do this..... THEN....doh.... I'd not set the time on the treadmill beyond its default 20 mins so it stops π© no no no I can't stop. Looked like a right numpty running on the spot trying to reprogramme the damn thing so I could keep running. Seemed to take ages to get running normally again (whatever normal is!) but once back on track I promised myself I'd run an extra minute at the end so I didn't feel like I'd cheated. Back in the zone, the lovely Mr Smooth let's me know I'm half way through then his gorgeous voice is interrupted by my husband's ringtone. Sorry Mr C I am not answering you. I'm running and I can't speak. I'm at the business end of my longest run yet and I've already had a technology interruption. Running, breathing, feeling tired but totally believing I can do this. The minutes tick by and of course I can see the treadmill clock so I roughly know how much longer I need to run. Is Mr Smooth going to tell me only 5 mins left? Nothing. Ok maybe he's just waiting to tell me there's only a minute left. I'm sure I've run another 12.5 minutes now? Come on Mr Smooth. Where are you? Pulls phone out of fitbelt .... on pause! Seems to have paused at the same time of Mr C's call so I've ended up running the extra minute due to double technology failure. From failure comes success though I'm not going to become a treadmill junkie any time soon. Week 7 here I come. Oh and BTW Mr C's call wasn't urgent. So glad I didn't break my rhythm to answer a call requesting me to pick up some milk on the way home π

Lol, I must admit being a treadmill runner, I've had some of those issues before, mainly when I've been working away from home and in a hotel, I had a treadmill at a hotel in Ireland just stop, I wasn't watching the clock and for some reason it was in countdown mode, I can't remember putting it on that but it stopped, and I mean it stopped dead like someone had pulled the safety cord off but I still had quite a bit of forward momentum. I'll leave the rest to your imagination but I was sore for a few days after.
The tech certainly doesn't like interruptions, I thought I was being a real clever clogs having Map my Run to tell me distance, Mr Smooth to tell me when to stop and start drooling oh and an interval timer just in case. Then tried taking a picture too....
It was like patting your head, rubbing your tum , whilst doing a backflip on a trampoline. Ive since dumped the interval timer and only take pics at the end of a run.
But ell does you on clearing W6. good luck with W7
