I've just completed run 3 of week 6 my longest run!

Feeling very proud!

Found it a little hard to breath deep & struggled a little with keeping my breathing calm, but I did it!!!

Hope you've all had a good running week! πŸƒπŸ»πŸƒπŸ»πŸƒπŸ»

A sustainable pace in running is one in which you can supply your body with the oxygen it requires. That can only come from regular breathing, which can only be maintained at a sustainable pace. This virtuous circle is your aim.

If you can't breathe evenly and deeply enough, you are running too fast. Poor oxygen supply leads to tired muscles, reduced duration and increases injury risk.

Well done on your achievement. It is something to be proud of but if you want to enjoy the longer runs, slow down a tad until your breathing is comfortable.

Keep running, keep smiling.
