Well that was a strange one

W6 R1 and I've been feeling quite disheartened about week 6. After finishing week 5 on such a high with a 20 minute run (20 minutes!!) I couldn't help feeling like it was a step backwards with week 6 run 1 back to stopping & starting and the 5 minute / 8 minute intervals. I found myself putting this run off, but tonight gave myself a talking to, put on my big girl pants & actually it turned out being one of my favourite runs so far! I think the difference must of been that I felt far more confident I could do it, whereas every other run has just been on a wing and a prayer! So I take it all back, C25K app you are far more wise than I and you do know best!

Had a slight technical issue midway with the app pausing, unbeknown to me, so I kept running & running waiting for Sarah to speak - it took me a little while to work it out. So no clue how long I actually ran for but hopefully near enough!

That's really good. Most people, including me really struggle with that run. 👏🏻👏🏻

Thank you, I think I certainly had a mental struggle with it before hand but pleased to have got it done and dusted. Where are you on the programme now? I'm a little nervous (ok terrified..!) about what's still to come!

I did W7R3 yesterday after a weeks break as I had a cold and felt generally rubbish. Next run is 28mins 😫

I remember, like you, being disappointed that I was going back to intervals after the exhilaration of week 5, but it's all part of the carefully planned package that will get you running for a full 30 minutes by week 9, so stick with it. :-)

Thank you, I'm glad it's not just me! You are right, and I need to stop over thinking it & just trust the programme and go with it. Bring on r2!

This was my nemesis run, I hated it and wanted to throw spears at it... of all my programme, this was the crappiest... but you've done it, you will do the next one just fine I promise...

And for some reason we all seem to get one run when the coach goes awol. I think it's a test of commitment personally... good luck next time out
