Hot climate requires greater hydration. Make sure you are well rested beforehand. Take the pressure off and just run nice and slow.........it might just happen.

Remember, each run is making you stronger.

Thanks I will keep going at it

Ok this is the combined wisdom I have gleaned from these pages so far. Put your water bottle in the freezer overnight either full or half full. Top up with water in the morning. 2 uses keeps your hands cool and is more refreshing when you drink it. Spray your vest front and back with water, but we are not aiming for wet tee shirt look here! Wet your hair before you go out or bandanna if you wear one .For beauty at same time smother hair in conditioner too... 😀

Scope out your run by walking the route at the same time of day so you can find the shaded area. Be a shadow chaser, as it's much less stressful. Finally, channel your inner Oldfloss and go slower than you imagined was possible.

This should help, it's what I do in 30+ degrees in Italy. If it's hotter than that, then I am somewhat non-plussed and am thinking it could actually be dangerous to be out in those kind of temperatures. Depending on how built up the area is it could be cooler in the evening, but at night in the towns here, the buildings radiate the heat out, so it's often hotter. Hope that helps a bit good luck next time out

You will get there..just slowly does it..I ran in the Dordogne last Summer... it was very, very, very hot.. I had to run before 6 a.m :)

Mind. I did meet a couple of very cute French Hommes, one morning :) x

You will get there. I know we're not supposed to worry and how fast we go or how far but sometimes I get a little despondent on how slow I go. My youngest has told me 'fitness not fastness' and he's so right. I am getting fitter. So set off as slow as a slow thing and you will get there. :)
