I started Couch to 5k mainly to try and battle middle aged spread. So I've been sticking to the programme and have really enjoyed it, found it quite easy, but am finding it tough going now I've progressed to the longer runs from week 7.
I expected to start to feel energised through exercise, particularly as I've also given up my habit of drinking wine in front of the TV in the evenings, but I feel exhausted!
I'm eating what I think is a healthy diet too, drinking plenty of water, cutting out junk food, but not actively dieting or calorie counting so I don't think it's because I'm eating too little.
Has this happened to anyone else please and does it pass?

Yes, yes yes! I'm on week 6 and taking 2 rest days before attempting W6R3 as I need to get my head round running for 20 minutes. Yesterday I felt absolutely exhausted and despite a good night's sleep felt completely fatigued all day! Xx
I felt the same when I started, you're still a newbie, you should feel better as you get used to running and become fitter, it's still early days you're doing great keep at it!😊
Early days, and don't stress about it please, you've taken action on your diet, it's a bit like the breathing thing, all of a sudden it seems to come together and you don't know why. Good luck and you're so close to graduation now, keep posting and letting us all know how you're getting on
Thank you everyone! I'm definitely keeping going with it, I have my first 5k fun run at the end of the month I think I may have 2 rest days in between runs for a bit, see if that helps until I'm fitter. Happy running guys!
