I started C25K before Christmas and each time I got close to wk 9 I got an injury in my feet and ankles. Physio says that it's because I'm a bit flat footed and also don't have much core strength. I've started pilates and some core-strengthening exercises and each time I've been injured I've rested and re-started further back down the programme. Last week I did my first ever Park Run which was great! This week I'm doing week 9 and will finish with my graduation run at Park Run on Saturday.
I just wanted to reassure new folk that we don't all get to 5k in 9 weeks! Just keep on going at your own pace. I'm hoping I'll stay relatively injury free now as my fitness increases - fourth time lucky!
