Week 3 run 2 - a non-dead cat πŸ€”

Ok so funny story to begin. On the walk back home after Monday's run, I saw a shabby looking pile of fur on someone's driveway. As I got closer I saw it was a cat but it looked dead. As a cat owner I felt sad and assumed someone knew where it lived and placed it there. Then on the warm up walk tonight I saw the same pile of fur, only now it was more obviously a cat as it was sat up. Still the same driveway but clearly alive. So that actually boosted my mood for the run.

Second run on my neon orange fluffy clouds. Even comfier than Monday and could barely even notice my over bendy knees at all! Winner. I did decide to run a circuit through the park which covered me for the first 3 min run and the remaining 90s & 3 min run. Lots of people on the tennis courts, and the skate park, basketball nets and walking dogs around the pathways. Was very pleasant surroundings that I've never experienced on my own before. Always wary of going to a public park alone at 7:30pm. The one bug bear for me though was actually bugs themselves. Little clouds of black midges offering up some unwanted protein boosts. I must've looked funny dipping my head to avoid them. But I have really narrow nasal passages so can only get a breathing pattern using my mouth. Picture from my 3 minute recovery walk.

I didn't stray too far from home tonight so my post cool down walk was only about 5 mins away. But I feel so chuffed to bits right now. I think I'm boring my husband with praise for this program and this forum. Because without both combined I'd be growing longer roots as a couch potato, well as much as you can be with a 4 & 1 year old.

Love it

Non dead cats and midges, let's add them to the animal tally today if a dead snake and a hiding toad. This is like Springwatch....

I've just read your post. I haven't been on much today as been off with my eldest as a day of summer holiday fun. It really is like spring watch.

We can start looking for the more exotic animals - I am in London next week, maybe I should run through Regents Park Zoo...

Imagine the animals that you can bump in to there!

Ignoring the reptile house though!

The non-dead cat story got me laughing - I have a non-creepy man water pump on my run, it freaks me out every time. As for singing the praises of the programme, I'm still doing it over two years after I graduated.

I hope that the cat is there tonight so I can grab a picture of it. It made me laugh too when I realised it was alive. If I could just show you all I think you would see why I thought it was dead. ha ha.
