Took an extra rest day but was still feeling tired when I set off. Then 1 minute in Laura decided she didn't want to speak to me any more. Either that or my headphones have packed in. So back to timing myself on my phone. Not going to lie, it was hard going but I did make it to the end. I was thinking of going more slowly on R3 but I'm not sure if that is possible!!
W5R2 did it - just: Took an extra rest day but... - Couch to 5K
Slower is best. Honest! 🙂
What is it with these coaches on Week 5? Sanjeev bailed on me yesterday, now Laura's decided she wants a break? Just as well we're hardy souls who can keep going in the face of adversity! Have a word with that Laura for your next run- I've already told Sanjeev he needs to get his act together for tomorrow 🙂
Ha I know but after getting the gear on and driving to my start point, there was no way I was going back. Mind you half way through I was thinking that maybe I should have. It's only when I finished I was so glad I'd done it.
That's always the way though, isn't it? You might not feel particularly like going out, but If you can just get out that door you never regret it
You did it and that's what counts. I'm hoping to do mine Tonight if it stops raining. Good luck for R3
Thank you and good luck with your run. Funnily enough I think I prefer running in the rain - less people about
I'm a fan of the rain too- not horizontal, in-your-face rain, but I was out in a gentle drizzle yesterday and it was really quite pleasant. I'd take that over blazing ☀️ anytime 🙂
This backwards feeling thing doesn't matter 🙂 I have been running a few years now but I felt like I was running backwards yesterday. Tiredness, it was hot and I was on some undulating trail. It just felt like I was making no progress. It's only a feeling though. You are moving forward. The walking bits in the programme are there to help you out so don't worry 🙂✔️
You certainly are!
We ain't fast us Week 5ers, but boy are we determined. We knew you'd do it, sneakily you really knew you'd do it too. I am absolutely convinced the coaches go awol, just to see if we listen and care... and of course we do, go bareliz if it I can do Run 3 to the applause of a toad, you can do it with new earphones and all of us behind you.
Ha, well I shall give it my best. I'm hoping it gets easier - soon :).
It will I promise.... fingers crossed
I shall hold you to that!
Deal, provided when I need the kick up the bum, you provide it for me... I am in London next week and thinking it might be a lot less easier there...
Laura dumped me in week 6 and I decided, given that it was simple timed runs and given her appalling taste in music, to go it alone. Much preferred it, although I had had a big running crush on my coach until then 😊
Week 5 and 6 are challenging but the programme is getting you ready, step by step. So well done and keep running 🏃👍😊
Thank you and yes I think when it's continuous runs I may just get my own playlist, although I'm not good this this technology milarky ;).
