Week one to week two - a pedantic question

I'm sure this is silly but I thought I'd ask anyway...

...do you all leave two days before starting the next week, so each week starts on the same day (for me, Sunday), or just take a day off?

I know, I know, it probably doesn't matter, but just wondering...

I didn't, I ran every other day. But most people do.

I do! I like my routine. I run on a Saturday (my start of the week), a Monday and a Thursday. I run on other days if circumstances mean I can't run on my normal days but prefer the routine. There's something mentally satisfying about knowing I have a Start Of The Week Day!

I started with a two day break but found I seized up and easier to go every other day. I guess it is whatever fits around your life. I just love it so much I'd go everyday if I thought I wouldn't injure myself.

I just listen to my body and do what feels right. I ALWAYS have a rest day between runs but sometimes I feel I need another day and so I take it. I ran for 30 minutes last night (about 4.2k) and plan to do 5k on Saturday so I'm having two days rest inbetween.

I run around work I'm off on Tuesday and Thursday so run on those mornings and Saturday unless it's raining! Then I do Sunday, so yes.

I start the new week on Sunday have 2days to recover from the increased intensity then run again on Wednesday (my day off work) and Friday

I run when I can. Never miss a rest day but in the course of the programme have left everything from 1 day to 7 (that one was due to injury). Normally aimed for every other day but didn't worry about the times I only managed 2 runs in a week.

I think as long as you have a rest day in between runs it's completely personal choice 😊

I always..normally run Sunday Tuesday and Friday.

I tend to leave anything between 1-4 days between runs, depending on energy, weather, aches, OAP obligations to family and DIY, holidays, etc, etc. I don't know but I suspect leaving it nearly a week (between my grad run and my next one), as I did recently, was probably a bit too long. Also I should probably exercise a bit more on non-run days - I intend to improve in that respect. Good luck - it's a great experience!!

I try to run mon, weds & fri with similar distance walks tues and Thursday (due to walking dogs). Weekends can be more random due to family activities but try to keep consistent activity on 'days off' as I seize up otherwise!! Hth x

I run Tuesday, Thursday and aim to ParkRun on Saturdays. In between I do Pilates, yoga and cycling. That works for me.😊

It's horses for courses; do whatever suits you; I personally found the two consecutive rest days between weeks beneficial. Stay focused and positive and you'll succeed.

It's your journey, do it how you want, or how suits you. I took a bit longer than 9 weeks to complete the programme as I was still swimming several times a week in those days, so I only ran once or twice a week. These days (3 years on) I normally run every other day unless I have done a particularly long run, in which case I usually have an extra day off. You'll quickly learn what suits you best.

Interesting one as I had the same thought so began my Week Two on a Sunday but had it knocked out of me when I had a friend to stay so took the two days off then back on Mon, Weds Fri ever since. I prefer it. Psychologically it works for me as these are my running days so I'm used to it and have only once got ready to go out and not gone cos the weather was appalling but the next day I found a gap in the bad weather to go out so that week was a Tues, Thurs and Sat.
