I RAN FOR TWENTY MINUTES!

Sorry, but the rest of the house are still asleep and I had to tell someone! Think I am most proud of my mental turnaround from someone who couldn't see the point in running and was always vaguely suspicious of people who ran. Now I am one of them! Always came last in x-country at school and hated it - partly due to undiagnosed asthma I think. But today I did twenty minutes without anyone forcing me to!

I haven't really posted on here before, but I have been reading lots of other people's posts which have been really useful for tips and encouragement- so thank you all!

Whoop whoop! Congratulations to you, it's a fab achievement and one you can be really proud of and no one can ever take it away from you 🙂

But I do love your reserve. I think you should stand in the middle of the house now and just scream, " I'VE JUST RUN FOR 20 MINUTES. I AM A GOD/GODDESS" 😀

Hope your family will be up to congratulate you soon! Well done and great to hear you are doing so well - keep going!🙂

Well done you, as someone who's just hit the 5 minutes mark, I'd say screaming and shouting are definitely in order... 20 Minutes for goodness sake Apple can't charge up their iPhones in that time....

Don't apologise......that is what we are here for.

Now you are a semi super hero, be cautious about W6R1, it looks simple on paper, but is trickier, due to basic psychology, than you will expect.

Keep running, keep grinning like a loon.

Congratulations to you for running 20 mins. I completed it on Sat morning when myhousre were asleep too!

IannodaTruffe why is W6R1 trickier? I'm fue to do it on Tues and wasn't sure why after completing a 20 mon rin it gors back to short intervals again?

Hi Windmill10, after W5R3 the majority of runners feel they can do anything. The ego and self belief is often boosted beyond the reality and W6R1 catches a lot of people out. Just give it due respect, start off slowly and you will be fine. If you do a search for W6R1, you will see it is a very common experience.

Made it 😀

Congratulations 🎊 I was just like you, never run, always last in cross country because I walked round at a leisurely pace. That all changed at the start of may and as of yesterday I am the proud owner of a graduate badge. Enjoy the rest of the programme. And celebrate that achievement. It's fantastic.
