On run one on a spur of the moment decision I carried on till I'd done 30 mins just to prove I could do it. Run 2 I did 28 mins but increased the distance covered to 4.9 kms including the warm up and cool down.
Then tonight I had a different route and seriously mis-estimated the distance, so when the 28 mins gong went off and Jo was telling me to cool down I ran the last five minutes to get closer to where I'd parked the car. So 33 mins in all and no I'll effects at all I think in total I covered 5.2 k in about 40 mins.
Bring on week 9!

It will be interesting to see what time I can get on the Parkrun. I believe the Abingdon one is round fields and along the Thames for a bit. It can get a bit muddy at times - I heard the someone even lost their shoe once! I find that uneven paths really slow me down compared to the runs this week on good solid paths, round a reservoir for the first two and along a Sustrans cycle path for today's run. Hence the quicker times I think. Friends tell me I should aim for about 40 mins for first Parkrun and then you can get a PB the next time!
