Now I've got to the 30 minute mark I'm getting pins and needles in my feet. Any ideas?

Try loosening your laces.

It may also be a symptom of your shoes being too small. Feet swell when you run, so many people have running shoes a half size bigger than their regular size.

I agree with IannodaTruffe . My running shoes are a full size bigger than my normal shoes. The longer your run the more you notice how the shoes are working. When i started running 10k + i had to move to thinner socks even though my shoes are that size bigger. The heat wont help this either.

I did wonder if this was the case. They are half size bigger but perhaps that's not enough. Thank you both

It will depend on the make of shoe. My New Balance are 1 size bigger. My Brooks are 1 and half size bigger. Both fit great.

Hi, I too suffered from pins and needles in my right foot towards the end of the run and especially in the cool down period. It would last for 15 to 20 minutes. It's difficult to run when that happens. I was using a good pair of New Balance runners but had never been assessed in a running shop. After reading posts here I visited an independent running shop. I was at the end of week 7 on the plan. I had a gait analysis done and tried about 6 pairs of running shoes in the shop and again analysis was done for each pair. Since I bought the new shoes I have not had any problems since with pins and needles. My new runners are a half size larger as well.

Yep, laces too tight, shoes too snug.😐
