Holiday after graduation

Morning 😊

I am going to Tuscany soon for 2 weeks and all being well I will have graduated by then. I will be packing my trainers in case there is an opportunity to run whilst there. However if there isn't what do you all recommend I do when I return. Should I go back a couple of weeks? I know I'm getting ahead of myself but I am a control freak haha 😊

You could spend a nice afternoon running from one vineyard to another sampling some of the produce and staying hydrated as well. Killing two birds with the one stone.πŸ˜€πŸ‘

I would suggest when you come back that you do a continual run and try to do the 30mins. If you can manage it the Brilliant. If not you know where you are at and can build back up to the 30 mins. You may find that after a short break you will actually find the run easier. You shouldn't really lose that much fitness over the 2 weeks, and the rest might actually be beneficial. I know that when I have had a break like that my comeback run has been quicker and easier.

Enjoy the holiday and if you holiday like we do, you will be that active sightseeing and shopping that you will be getting plenty of exercise anyway.

I am tryng to envisage what you might be doing in Tuscany that would not provide any opportunities for running? Are you going to be locked in a Tuscan cupboard Houdini style for a fortnight? Scaling one of Tuscany' vertical cliff face mountains? Balancing atop a pole?

If not, run.

Ooh I adore Tuscany. You lucky thing. Just run. Anywhere. Those gorgeous Cypress clad little roads, under the Tuscan sun (fab movie), then a dip in the pool and an ice cold beer. Can I come with you?

I have never been but really looking forward to it. I have just looked at the villa on google maps and there seems to be a nice circular route so I will definitely be running. Oh and I will feel obliged to post a picture...apologies in advance 😊

Lucky you.... just run.... :) You will love it.

I ran in the Dordogne last ....August! It was so hot, I had to be up very, very early but it was so worth it :)

Photographs will be expected...:)
