Hi everybody,

Please feel free to share your runs here and chat about how it's all going,

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week,

Juju, RFC and Pops

Not run since last Tues...need to get back out for W3R3. I'm in London for work this week and it's so hot... I guess maybe I'll try early tomorrow. I've packed my kit, need to use it!!

Happy running everyone

Not run since Monday last week! Feeling very rusty!

How am I going to run this evening, 5k 😬 in this glorious heat

Had a minor op on my shoulder last week - was told I shouldn't run until the stitches are out - 10 days. Was feeling very glum about it so had a chat with my GP who said running should be fine. Gingerly went for a run (in the gym - no way am I running outside in this heat) yesterday and all was fine :-) About to do my last run of week 7 - I still can't believe that I can run for 25 minutes non stop!

Graduation week I hope this week. Run 2 this evening of week 9 is planned after it cools down a little.

Managed to do 3 runs last week, a 3km, a 3.5km and a 5km. I'm trying to go 3 times a week despite the heat. I've not really run 3 times a week at all (even doing the programme I did 2 a week (Tuesday and Friday) - that did mean it took me a week and a half to complete every week of c25k but it was the best way for me to do it I think. Anyhow, I'm trying Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at the moment. 2 shorter runs and hopefully a 5km+ on a Friday. I managed it last week and I've been out tonight and done 3.5km. I left it until 9.15 and I'm glad I did as it was relatively cool at that time. And it was still quite light when I got in at 9.50 so I think that is going to be the time of night I run whilst the weather is this hot. Fingers crossed I have the motivation to go on Wednesday too. It's easy to not bother when it's so clammy!

Just found this. Well done Miller2.

Did my Monday run in the morning and it was very hot...

If its like this on Wednesday I may leave it til the evening like you..but what time do you eat?

Before or after your run...

Before my run if I'm going that late. I made sure my dinner was cooked for 7pm at the latest. It gives me 2 hours for it to go down. Ideally I'd eat at 6.30 but I confess to nodding off on the couch due to the heat yesterday so I didn't actually start making dinner until 6.30!

Totally smashed my pb this morning over 3 miles. Previously my best was 36.44, did it this morning in 31.57!!!! So proud. Hoping for park run this week too so will get a proper time!

Yay, W3R3 completed this morning in Southwark park. Very hot, but plenty water and really was ok. Enjoying seeing different places in a new way (with trainers!) while away for work. Next stop W4.

Having felt great that I'd got back into running and gone out three times weekly for the past two weeks, I didn't go out at the weekend. Just too hot, even at 9.30-ish. I might manage tonight, once I get back from the works Garden Party (yes, I know, tough life! :D ) if I can summon up the energy (and have managed to eat & drink enough to sustain me, but not make me too full...). Otherwise, I'll just wait a few days for it to be slightly cooler. At least I know I can pick it up! :)

Second run of the week this morning. A Wk9 30 minute run on my new found route. It was hot, breathing raggedy for the first 20 mins then cruising for the last 10. Irish John said yesterday that if we have a target its almost impossible to exceed it...getting to 30 was quite enough😆 didn't feel like doing a step further..

Still I'm very happy with 40 mins on Mon and 30 mins today.

Good luck everyone 😊

Well didn't manage to complete W4R1 today. The step up to a 5 mins run really challenging.

Thought it was a bit cooler but was really struggling. Also had to move hotels and not near a park... ran on Southbank but really not comfortable in such a busy place. Managed all but the last 5 mins run, so could have been worse...

Guess I'll try again in a few days.
