W9, rest, race

I finished week 8 yesterday. I've got my first local 5k 'race' next Saturday but have noticed a few aches that aren't just muscular (knee, had some problems with it a few months ago). Consequently I think I'm going to take 3 days off, then run M and W really relaxed. I'll then take Th/Fri off and assuming all is well Saturday morning, give the race my all for my graduation run. My wife finished week 5 today, so she's going to do the 5k with me, but she's planning on walking a good chunk of the way. Much fun ahead!

Sounds like a sensible plan. I am a big fan of ice and stretching. Not simultaneously, obviously.

I think it's fantastic that your wife has got the bug! If you can't beat them....wishing you well rested for your graduation week.
