Ok, I'm cheating slightly for the sake of a nice title The rainbow was visible as I brought DD2 home from her gym class; it started raining as we got home, and poured down for a few minutes while I got changed and wondered what on earth I was thinking of doing! Then Mr Rainbow got home, and the weather brightened, so I walked down to the polling station, did my civic duty, then sorted out my phone and got set to go running.
By the time I was starting, it was already around 9.15, so I knew it wouldn't be very safe to head up the lane, given that I had no hi-vis or lights on tonight. So that left a choice of going round the cul-de-sacs and back a couple of times, or trying the fields. As the sun was shining cheerfully, the field appeal won me over, so it was a nice change to be running on grass mostly rather than tarmac - harder work, but hopefully my joints appreciated the difference
Not really much to report otherwise - just another nice steady 20 mins done. That's three times this week, so I'm feeling happy with that. I'll try for 22-23 next time I think - every time I've felt as though I could keep going a little longer if I needed to, but haven't wanted to push myself too hard and risk anything! It's good to be back out there, though
