Where can I purchase women's running gear?

I've noticed that some sports shops charge a fortune for decent running gear, like Nike or even Sports Direct.

I have some gear, but I'm looking for more - I'm not sure how I feel about Fabletics - but I don't quite know where to look.

Sportsdirect has some very cheaply priced stuff but the big brands are there as well as some more obscure ones. Check out the website thoroughly! It changes daily and there are always bargains

Lidl and Aldi are fab news for runners 😃 Most of my go-to gear is Lidl. My fave Run jacket us Aldi. My gorgeous merino is Aldi. I have a lovely cool, burn out top from Tesco, and I know last winter primark was selling a lovely stylish winter Run jacket which would grace any catwalk.

Start fitness has some good stuff too. Sportsshoes.com have bargains. I just got some new Ron Hill trail running tights from them.

Whenever there is an Aldi or Lidl run gear sale on someone will give the heads up on here 😃

Isn't that fabletics thing the one where you are almost forced to have a new outfit every month?? I would certainly steer clear of them as you don't need to get a new running set once a month....stick to those recommended above. Decathlon, Aldi, Lidl, Wiggle do an essentials range (I got a long sleeve top for £7 in their sale recently).

I didn't know you were forced to buy a new outfit every month - thanks for the warning!

Yes, I think it almost a subscription selling that you have to opt out of rather than opt into each month, so if you forget to cancel.....

TK Maxx is good and in fact I recently picked up a pair of capris (Marika brand) there that have turned out to be one of the most comfortable pair I've owned. And reasonably priced too.

Ooh yeah, forgot about them. Ours is a bit pants though, I have never found owt in ours worth bothering with, running or otherwise . My niece gets some right good gear in her branch.

I got a lovely cycling top for my trail runs (I need the pockets) It's a crushed strawberry colour. Lovely! I think i got that from Widdle, erm Wiggle

Just surf the net.. always bargains to be had.. I have had some bargains from Sports Direct too... I find slightly unpopular colours are cheaper too,, often very funky but huge fun!

I got a cheap lightweight shower proof jacket fully breathable online form Millets... a Ron Hill discontinued colour; it is a tad bright..but if I fell over in the mud, you would easily spot me :)

There are a ton of stuff you can find online, but I'm curious as to what is recommended. Someone mentioned Decathleon, when I looked, they were the best I've seen so far and when I looked up womens sportswear online, I didn't see them for some reason, and they are cheap. I also didn't know that Fabletics were so scammish. So, it's also good to ask and read people's experiences and recommendations.

I got my Adidas Trail and track running shoes from Sports Direct at a really good price...:)

I use Reebok a lot and check out their sale items regularly...I don't think I have ever paid full price for any item... except my running socks...and they are really great.. got them off Amazon..

I think basically as we are all so different , what might be okay for one might not be right for another...!

Useful post Wannaberoadrunner Thanks for all the great suggestions. I never pay full price for anything if I can help it! I hadn't thought about Matalan & Primark but did get some very comfy bottoms from H&M a while back. I've just checked & there's some outdoorsy retailers at an outlet centre I could get to as well. Happy running retail therapy everyone!!

Decathlon. Reasonable price, comfortable and looks good. Sizing is a bit confusing (French company I think) but you have a year to take it back if it doesn't fit!

I've looked at Decathlon, and I like what I see. I'll be using them in the future.

I used to buy a lot from SportsDirect, but I won't go through the doors now because of their awful business practices and the way the staff are treated :( That's only my choice, though.

There is some great cheap running kit in all the shops listed above. I am currently loving my £5 capris from Primark - they have a zip pocket (essential for my inhaler - and car key at Parkrun) and I wasn't sure they would last long but I have worn them loads and they are showing no signs of wear yet. A bargain!
