Hi all just completed w3r2 and breathing felt fine however I'm struggling with my legs. I know its early days for me but When I start I can't seem to get into a good running technique. My legs are everywhere. Heels hurt. Slamming etc. By the last run of the programme I feel great. Get into a good stride. No pain and feel light on my legs ?? Why at the end? Do most of you feel like this. I'm wondering whether a longer warm up would help.. my physio mentioned doing the 'pose' running style but struggling with this when I slow down.

The advice given is to imagine you are running alongside a hedge and that a person on the other side of that hedge can just see the top of your head. They should not be able to tell you are running. This is to get you to think about running economically. If you bounce up and down, this is wasted energy.
Maybe a longer warm-up. Perhaps by the end of the run you are focused on other things and not so conscious about your running stride. I'm sure more advice will follow.
I think you're onto something with your title to this post. Here are some great instruction from proven runners. These two both have a proven track record with Ultra Marathon running. records and championships etc.... This ought to prime the pump for you.
