Week 9 cream crackered update

on Friday or Saturday I set off for the last run of week 3. My quandary is , that at no time have I come anywhere near 5k during my runs . Its not a quandary really is it ?? I'm tempted that once the 30 minutes are up completing program , to see if I have enough in the tank and go for the 5k , I reckon another 3 blocks of 5 should do it . Either way I will cover more distance than previously , so win win ?

If you have enough left in the tank, then go for it. C25k is mainly aimed at getting people running for 30 minutes rather than getting to the 5k in 30 minutes, but if you want to carry on after the 30 mins and get to the 5k there's no reason why you shouldn't. Just take it steadily and you'll get there.

Forget the 5K... the idea is, the 30 minute runs...wait until after Graduation and then just build up to 5K if you wish to :)

.... Many graduates just carry on afterwards.. and make 5K in 30 mins as and when..or not.. :) Many of our half marathon and marathon friends on here have never done 5K in 30 mins...but they are still runners!!!

You are a runner and will get to those 30 minutes:)

oh knew i wouldnt do it in the 30 , just wanted to test stamina .just been listening to the c25k+ podcasts and that laura is a bloody sadist lol

No... when you have done the 30 mins.... you consolidate and build up... Stamina is brilliant...but it takes time... :) Speed is also pretty amazing!
