IC and excuses not to run.

When I started the programme I religiously ran at least three times a week, what ever the weather, as I was scared that if I had a break I would be back to square one. But an injury during week 6 meant I couldn't run for nearly 3 weeks, amazingly I hardly had to back track at all, but now I know that I maintained the stamina I had somehow acquired, I find sticking to three runs a week hard: cold, rain, a slightly late night ... any little excuse and I'm struggling to drag my self out of bed. I have a only run 3 times in last two weeks. I need a good kick to get out there and finish C25K- only 6 runs to go and I managed 25 minutes fine. Goodness knows how I'll have the discipline to run once I've finished. Maybe I should find a race to sign up to or do Park-run

Carrying on after graduation without the challenge and reward of that extra little bit each week is tricky.

There are lots of options out there and you'll soon find what works for you.

The most important thing I find is routine. I run on set days at set times. Write your runs on your calendar and you might find you're more likely to do them.

Oh it's easy to find races all right. You'll be beating them off with a stick 🙂

Parkrun is brill. Such a buzz about it.

I'm no calendar girl🙂 My working week is pretty irregular but I try to get up by 6 and go for a run every second day. Just finding motivation hard to come by at the moment. I hate actually getting up but absolutely love it when I am up in the early morning, running after work just isn't the same.
