I've done it!!!!! W9 r3

Just got back from the last run in the series and I'm happy but scared. Happy that I did it but scared now I'm on my own and at the mercy of my own laziness. The last few runs were hard because I was trying to lose weight at the same time but I guess I'll have to eat better to get fitter and worry about weight loss a little later. Perhaps, if I keep running that won't be a problem anyway. Thank you, everyone, for your support and to anyone just starting out: you can do it, just calm your mind and try to focus.

Brilliant, well done! I was worried about how I'd carry on after graduating, I even took Laura out again on my first post grad run! but now I'm running with my own playlist and things seem to be going OK. You'll be fine. Keep posting and ... Happy Running!

Congratulations Graduate... Very well done... and there is so much now to keep you going... US!!!!

Lots to think about... consolidate those 30 minute runs, take some runs for pure pleasure and then see where you would like to go from there.. there will be loads of advice for you... right here!

Huge well done to you, you must feel mighty chuffed with yourself! I've got my 1st run of week 9 tomorrow and I'm sooo excited but like you the thought of going out 'on my own' after I finish seems down right weird!!! Happy running. Keep us all posted on how your runs go post graduation. 🏃

Congratulations and well done. I am only half way through the program. I was finding it hard to get motivated, but on Saturday I did a Parkrun just for fun and to see what it was like. I jogged and walked my way around and surprised myself by doing more running than I thought I would be able for. See if there are any Parkruns close to you. Great way to meet people and a mix of all different types of runners. It would be a good way to keep motivated and having a recorded time would give you a mission to beat your own times each week.

Well done! I've just finished too & am raising a glass of fizz to you! I do eventually want to run a 10k but am not sure how I'll feel without the structure of the plan so think I'll do some runs just for pleasure then use the stepping stones podcast. There is a 5k race for life near me in June so registering for that might keep me focussed. Maybe there's something similar near you? Good luck!

Thank you everyone for your support, your wise.words and your encouragement. I am out again in the morning and will be taking Laura with me for the next few runs. You're all correct about setting new goals and that's exactly what I going to do. Next stop 10k. Here we go.
