Hi how is everyone doing on this easter quest? I can't believe it's the final week now!!!

I've named the Quest the,' Run Rabbit Run Easter Quest,' because I think its about time the Easter bunny got fit!!!! That way he can eat more chocolate, so its a win win for him!!

What the quest is:-

The quest takes six weeks.

You can join any time within that six weeks.

The main aim of the quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.

I ask that you are a graduate . The main reason I ask this is that while you are doing the program your plan is very structured so I wouldn't want the quest to interfere with that.

Most popular goals are:-

To run three times a week

To slowly increase distance

To train for a specific race

To add In Stretch and strength exercises

As you can see they are personal to yourself and it's totally your own choice.

Every week I will pin a new post where all the members of the quest can talk about how things are going.

So if you wanted to join all you have to do is put

I would like to join the quest, or count me in and then I would like to. ..............

Your name will be added for the duration of the Quest.

Good Luck everybody !

Not too bad a week last week. Managed 2x30min runs. Just didn't have a usual work schedule and a weekend packed with family events had to take priority. Still twice is better than not running at all. 🌻🌻

I'm having a mixed time. Finding 35 min runs fine but I can't get to grips with doing jog 10 fast 2, jog 2, fast 2, jog 2 then 8 minutes steady run. I think I may reduce the fast section to 1 minute intervals until I get to grips with it unless anyone has any good advice?!

Replying to myself, update I did the run again and instead of reducing time I reduced speed and I did it, yay! Next is. 35 min steady run and then it think I'll repeat the week again...feeling good about the quest now!! Thanks to all who organised it.

Two runs last week. One was a DNF but it wasn't a race, only me going out for a run. It's a lot longer walking home than running home! I went out again yesterday though and managed to potter along a new route, which was lovely.

I have also somehow upgraded an event next year from a 10k to 10 miles :O A tad ambitious, but there's time.

In general, this Quest has been...okay. I haven't done brilliantly, but I haven't failed dismally either, so that will do! I scored 2 medals (well, three really), and I did achieve my longest run ever of 12k, although I had hoped to increase that which didn't happen. Next time!

Thank you ju-ju- , poppypug and Realfoodieclub for organising us, and well done to everyone for your runs. To everyone on the IC, here's wishing you a swift recovery, and for those who can't run at the moment, keep the faith x

A somewhat mixed one for me too. I wanted to run at least twice every week - managed twice last week, somehow! Increasing my daily steps was a dismal effort last week, with two (maybe three) days somewhere around 6,000 steps. :/ But I did go for a long walk on Saturday - around 7.5 miles, so at least that was a good day! And as for increasing the distance of my running - well, both efforts last week were just 20 mins, so not exactly setting any records there!

To put it all on context though, it was a manically busy week at work as the role I'm covering (in addition to my own full-time job) is flat out the first week of term. And Mr Rainbow's heavy cold turned into flu and knocked him out conpletely for several days. He's on the mend now, and work is calmer, so hopefully a better week this week...

Yay, posting on here yesterday gave me the impetus I needed to go out last night. So that got me my steps for the day, one run for the week, and since I managed a whole 30 minutes (compared to the previous week's 20 mins), I'm seeing that as a huge positive too! :)

Well a mixed bag for me. I got my runs in and have been diligent with the extra stretching and exercises, etc but my main goal for this quest was to stick to MyAscis plan which I didn't do! I don't think I'm good with having to stick to a plan and as a result I'm unprepared for my race this Sunday. Hey ho, there's bling .......

Have a great week fellow questers and to everyone who can't run at the minute, keep the faith, always.

Funny old week as we booked a weekend away... and about 5 minutes after I clicked the booking confirmation, Google was in a bad way - perhaps not as bad as last Autumn but evidently the same problem. So she needed to rest up so that she could enjoy the beach and I didn't go running. It did push me into swimming though and, by dint of a really big push one day to my furthest ever swim, I have achieved my 3kms total goal for this Quest. Yay!

The trip away enabled me to clock up my 2x 10,000 steps for the week (and Google was joy on four legs on the beach) But I think it has completely wiped out all notions of achieving my weight loss goal. Whilst I know the figures on the scale will drop off quite naturally and quickly to judge by past experience, I don't think it will drop far enough.

I must just achieve my cycle ride some time this week and I am hopeful of achieving my 2x10,000 steps (so I plan to check in on those things, and the weight too)... but I suspect my run with Anniemurph may have to take a rain check until next Quest... we shall talk!

I've done ok with this Quest I think.

I have mainly run three times a week. I am thinking of running every third day though. I find as I extend my runs again I need extra rest days. I shall see how it goes.

I have done the 2 Parkruns, in fact I've done three. One was a pb, but the next was very slow😳

Im good for my 10k race in two weeks time. This is my second 10k and I intend to regularly run this distance, once a month or so.

Im still doing my yoga and some strength exercises. I need to review the programme next quest.

Happy running everyone
