Climax Canyon 5K Postponed due to snow storm.

Agh - and I was so looking forward to grueling it out in a blizzard. I am actually glad. I have been so stoked about being able to even run that whole trail, that I really want to keep running it and improve my time. More time to train! whooo hooo! Plus, my first 5K ever will be on my birthday.

Climax Canyon 5k Postponed

Hi All,

I know I said the Climax Canyon 5k was a go rain or shine. Well...I hadn't anticipated a winter storm warning :(. With the recent rain and the forecast for rain turning to snow for Friday night and then snow and gusting winds forecast for Saturday I have a feeling that weather and trail conditions for the race are not only going to be not fun but more important not safe.

Leave it to Mother Nature and spring time in the Rockies to put a wrench in the works.

We have rescheduled the race for Saturday, May 13th at 10am. Hopefully by then Mother Nature will have decided that it is Spring/Summer and not winter anymore.
