Morning everyone,Despite all the struggles l'm having at the moment withC25k;l just cannot get enough of it and ADRENALIN,has kicked in...l have to be careful though,as l am a string bean, and lose weight very quickly. After each run l make sure first to drink plenty then, after awhile l tuck into protein rich foods, like ahard boiled egg and a hunk of cheese.Today though am having a rest from running; as my wife and l are off to Addenbrokes Hospital, she has further blood tests. This constantly reminds me why l'm wanting to run for her charity.Good Luck ๐Ÿ˜Š every who is running today.Stevy.

Just take care? Rome wasn't built in a day.

Progress gradually as you have to build up leg and your core, upper body strength, and stamina, to allow you to go further. A bit at a time! The injury couch is filled with those who wanted it all today. Don't be one of them! You need to be fit and healthy, especially if you have to be there for your loved ones ๐Ÿ™‚

So, slow but sure ๐Ÿ™‚ The programme is short, but after it your running open so up lots of possibilities, which you can read about while working your way to Graduation. It's all here. The trials and tribulations ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Thankyou misswobble,l think l would be in trouble with my wife if l ended up physically injured due to running. The one thing she misses so much is being able to walk especially beyond 25 yds.Anyway,l shall concentrate on my core. One thing, you are right, the problems we all face, are discussed between us.It's great thanks

Misswobble had said it all - stick to the plan and you will be fine. Runnning is great for using up that adrenaline and as for the weight, I wouldn't worry at this stage. I am also a skinny thing and have spent my whole life trying to put on weight, it seems. Despite this and recently training for a half marathon (so a decent weekly mileage) I have not lost any significant weight whilst running. I actually look a lot better and stronger, as the extra inches have gone from the waist and I look more toned generally. I do eat masses though - not a bad side effect! Hope your wife's blood tests go ok today, too.๐Ÿ™‚

Ah those happy little hormones that get released when we exercise. You can have a pig of a run but still feel great afterwards. It is the addiction of those hormones that push many of us to cross train on our days off, even a lovely walk can bring them on. Good luck at the hospital with your wife today. Take care. Rfc x.

This is the great thing about it. We feel like kids again! Renewed, invigorated even. Not every day as we have off-days when we feel a bit bushed or ache rather too much. As long as we take care, go steady, don't get ahead of ourselves, we can enjoy this running lark. Lots of older runners out there, running and competing.

Competing! Ha ha, that's just another fun spin off from C25k! More on that subject later
