I did W3R1 this morning, and actually really enjoyed it! I never thought I'd be able to run for three minutes non-stop, and I found the advice not to bounce too much really helpful (helps that I do actually run alongside a hedge!) I am definitely finding the programme very well suited to my poor old asthmatic lungs; there is something in the gradual ramping up of the time, and the advice to keep it slow and steady, that means I am not getting the sort of burning sensation I have experienced in the past. Excited to see how much more stamina I build in the coming weeks!

Good for you.
That's what I love about the programme, it builds you up gradually so you are able to do more than you thought possible, bit by bit.

Remember we're all on the other side of that hedge, cheering you on from cyberspace.
Well done! Glad you're enjoying it, took me much much longer.

Congratulations - the gradual build-up is pure magic, you'll continue amazing yourself for months and even years after you've finished the programme. I remember being struck by that particular piece of advice, which came up just as I hit the only portion of my run where there was a hedge. A knee-height one. Bouncing makes you waste lots of energy, and can bu**er up your joints too.
